Inside2Outside have been proud sponsors of the Orangutan Foundation for some years and a donation to the Orangutan Foundation has been made with each canopy sold since 2009.
Inside2Outside decided to support orangutans after realising how their rainforest home is being destroyed in the name of commerce. Being well known as 'the canopy people' to schools, we thought it fitting to help an endangered animal that lives in forest canopies. Like Inside2Outside, The Orangutan Foundation believe in education, and that today's children are tomorrow's leaders. This is key to the survival of the rainforests and orangutans.
Opening at Chelsea, finishing at Battersea
Orangutan Foundation trustee Sir Terry Pratchett (above centre) joined our director, Dr Robert Carpenter (left) and Orangutan Foundation director, Ashley Leiman (right) in opening Inside"Outside's sister company Skyshades' UK show Garden at this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show. At the end of the show, the garden's plants were given to the winning schools from Inside2Outside's Garden Design Competition. The larger trees were donated to Battersea Dog's Home for its new sensory garden for dogs suffering from Kennel Cough.
